CONFERENCE PROGRAM
The conference program includes keynote speakers, panel presentations, round table discussions and posters. It also includes a variety of social events designed to promote greater familiarity and solidarity among the participants, along with a tour of the beautiful historic city of Istanbul.
Panel Presentations
Approximate regular academic presentations (about 15-20 minutes, depending on the time constraints of the conference), accompanied by papers that are 10 pages maximum in length. Papers will be published in a Conference Proceedings Compendium. Panel presentations are intended for people reporting original research. Selected academic papers will be considered for publication in an anthology to be based upon the conference themes. These papers, while drawing upon the scholars? ongoing research programs, will feature original findings.
Round table discussions
These include brief announcements (up to 10 minutes, depending on the time constraints of the conference), accompanied by less than one page abstracts. The abstracts will be included in the Conference Proceedings Compendium marked as brief announcements. Round table discussions are for participants who want to share their in-progress programs, research, etc.
Posters
It includes graphic material prepared by the authors to be exhibited. During the conference time will be allotted for participants to inspect the posters, and for authors to answer questions.

Speakers will represent four professional categories:
- Government executives and political leaders
- Academic specialists
- Journalists and other media representatives
- Criminal Justice Professionals
